Having been linked with both Manchester Clubs and Liverpool, Ahemet Bulut, the player’s agent, confirms that his client wants a move to England. Though Atletico Madrid will try their level best to keep him, they could be persuaded if his release clause is met .
The Turkish winger’s representative Ahmet Bulut, has confirmed that Turan ‘Wants to play in the Premier League’.
Though the declaration doesn’t imply immediacy, it is clear that Turan is seeking a new challenge after six years at the Vincente Claderon.
According to Spanish sports newspaper, AS, Bulut commented;
a His intention is to leave Spain this summer,a Turana s agent Ahmet Bulut told the Spanish sports newspaper AS. a His will is to leave and to play in the Premier League, that is the path he would like to take to continue his career.
We are currently in talks with three teams but I cannot reveal the names of the clubs. However, I can tell you that they are the best in England and in European football”
With no lack of suitors, Turan could find himself at any one of the five giants of English football. The only sizeable hurdle in their way, is a a 41 Million release clause Los Rojiblancos have place on their star winger, meaning that Atleti will not give him up without a good fight.
Turan, who Atl tico in the summer of 2011 from Galatasaray from a 12m, helped the Rojiblancos win the Copa del Rey, two Europa League titles and La Liga title during the 2013-14 campaign.
The 28-year-old scored two goals and set up four more in 32 Primera Division appearances to help Atl tico finish third in La Liga last season.
Despite the obvious personal preference towards England, Turan is also a target of Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
His representative claimed,a Ita s true that Milan and PSG are two of the six teams that are interested in him, But the Italian team is not among our options because they will not play in the Champions League next season. PSG is a possibility although Arda always has the desire to play in England.a
Despite possessing a number of wide players such as Lallana, Milner, Markovic and even Coutinho, Liverpool would be wise to add the depth of experience that Turan provides.
.
For United, Turan could prove exactly what United have been lacking in the final third. With a good fitness record, a higher than average game sense, and an uncanny ability to link-up with a diverse array of players, Turan seems a perfect signing for Louis van Gaal. However, his high release clause, plus his age, could deter the Dutch manager, who seems to prefer promising youth over tried and tested talents.
Wherever he might end up plying his trade, there is little doubt that he will be a success. Having won nearly everything with Atletico, Turan could do with a fresh challenge, with England proving to be the ultimate testing ground of any players’ physical and mental capabilities.
