Newcastle United submit offer for Eduardo Conceicao

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United have already tabled an offer to sign Eduardo Conceicao as they look to beat Barcelona and Liverpool to his signature.

Eduardo Conceicao’s sensational rise at Palmeiras hasn’t gone unnoticed. Multiple top clubs from across Europe have been scouting the teenager for a while now. According to a report from RTI Esporte, Newcastle have already submitted a bid for the Brazilian youth international.

The Magpies contacted Palmeiras and offered €25 million for the 16-year-old, but the offer has been turned down. Meanwhile, clubs like Liverpool and Barcelona have also been scouting the youngster, who seems to be the next big thing to come out of the Sao Paulo-based club’s youth setup.

Conceicao is currently a part of their Under-20 team. He has featured in a total of 13 matches and has even contributed towards eight goals. The versatile forward is only 16, and he is yet to make his first-team debut, but there is already a lot of interest in his services.

Multiple clubs have been scouting him since he was 14. While he can’t move to Europe until the start of 2028 (after he turns 18), clubs are already looking to secure a pre-agreement.

European giants are after Conceicao’s signature

The Magpies did make an offer, but it was way below what Palmeiras seek for the youngster. They have him protected with a €100 million release clause, and want a minimum of €40 million at this point to even consider parting ways with the youngster.

While Eddie Howe’s team remain keen on his signature, they could face stiff competition from Barcelona and Liverpool, who are constantly on the lookout for young players with massive potential. Meanwhile, Palmeiras are in no rush to negotiate his departure.

They are well aware of his massive potential and are in talks with his camp to determine his future. They want him to follow a similar road map to that of Endrick, Estevao, and Allan. They want to integrate him into their first team and eventually hand him his professional debut before they accept any offers from European clubs.

Conceicao is also focused on getting better and making his debut for Palmeiras. While he is aware of the increasing interest, the youngster doesn’t seem in any rush to make a decision.
