Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid told to pay €60 million to sign Nathaniel Brown

Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid will have to fork out €60 million to sign Eintracht Frankfurt full-back Nathaniel Brown.

Nathaniel Brown has been in fine form this season, and his performances have put him on the radar of Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

According to SportBild via SportWitness, the European giants could secure his services for €60 million, as Eintracht Frankfurt might be forced to negotiate his departure. If they fail to secure European football, the German outfit will be in desperate need to raise funds.

Nathaniel Brown came up the ranks at FC Nuremberg and made quite a name for himself while playing for their first team. His impressive rise caught the attention of Frankfurt, who secured his services in a deal worth just €3 million.

Since moving to Frankfurt in the summer of 2024, he has been involved in 67 matches and has contributed towards 19 goals. The 22-year-old prefers playing as a left-back, but he is capable enough to feature in any role on the left flank and can even chip in as a right-back.

Thanks to his consistent performances, Nathaniel Brown has managed to break into the German national team. His massive potential has placed him on the radar of the biggest clubs in Europe. Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all scouting him ahead of a potential transfer.

While his contract at Frankfurt runs until 2030 and they are in complete control of his future, the German club might be forced to negotiate his departure this summer. If they fail to secure European football, the Bundesliga will have to raise significant funds.

Why Frankfurt might have to sell Brown?

They already need to raise €30 million, and without European football, that figure will increase significantly. The only way out is by selling some of their most valuable assets, and Nathaniel Brown is one of them. Since they only invested  €3 million in him and it no longer affects their balance sheet, funds raised from his sale will be entirely booked as profit, with 10% going to his former club.

They want €60 million for the 22-year-old, and it will be interesting to see if United, Real Madrid or Barcelona are willing to meet those demands. He could be a long-term replacement for Luke Shaw at Old Trafford, while he could take Ferland Mendy’s place at Madrid. While the Catalan giants would love to have him compete with Alejandro Balde, the finances involved do make it very difficult for them.
