Arsenal and Manchester United are involved in an intense transfer battle for the signature of Victor Osimhen.

Victor Osimhen could be on the move this summer as a host of top clubs are after his signature. While he is loving life in Istanbul, his desire to play in the Premier League could change things up.

According to a report from SportsBoom, Arsenal and Manchester United are both keen on his signature. The English giants are set to be involved in a multi-club battle to sign the Nigerian international.

Osimhen made quite a name for himself while playing for Napoli. While he was likely to join a bigger European club a few years back, the 27-year-old had a fallout with the Italian club and ended up joining Galatasaray on loan for last season.

He enjoyed his time in the Super Lig, and the Turkish giants were also quite pleased with his performances; as a result, they forked out €75 million last summer to make his move permanent. Osimhen has been on fire in the ongoing campaign. He has been involved in 26 games and has contributed towards 24 goals.

His impressive performances have once again placed him on the wishlist of European elites. Bayern Munich are one of the clubs that are keen on his signature, as they consider him an ideal replacement for Harry Kane.

English clubs will have to break the bank for Osimhen

While the German club are gearing up to make a move, Arsenal and Manchester United are ready to help the 27-year-old fulfil his desire of playing in the English top flight. Mikel Arteta considers him the final piece of his puzzle at the Emirates Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils want a world-class forward leading the line, and they seem willing to break the bank for Osimhen. As far as Galatasaray are concerned, they are reluctant to sell and are in complete control of his future, with his deal running until 2029.

While they have no intentions of selling him, the need for financial sustainability and the player’s desire could result in a move. However, the Turkish giants will only let him leave for a fee between €120 million and €140 million, a figure that would shatter all records in the Super Lig.
