Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have no intentions of negotiating the departure of their 2025 summer signing Eberechi Eze amid exit links.
Following his big-money move to Arsenal, Eberechi Eze is yet to hit top gear, and there has been a lot of talk about his future. However, according to a report from Football Insider, Arsenal are not going to entertain the idea of him leaving the club under any circumstances this summer.
He is an integral part of their long-term plans, and manager Mikel Arteta has “big plans” for the attacking midfielder. Eze also feels that he has a big part to play in Arsenal’s squad.
Eze made quite a name for himself while playing for Crystal Palace. During his five-year-long spell at Selhurst Park, he was an integral part of their setup and managed to establish himself as one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League.
While there was no shortage of interest in his services, the Gunners managed to beat the competition to sign him in a deal worth £67.5 million. Since joining the North London club, he has been involved in 33 matches and has contributed towards 11 goals.
Arsenal won’t be selling Eze this summer
These are decent numbers, but he is yet to hit top gear, and since he has only started one league game since mid-December, there has been a lot of talk about his future. He hasn’t had the desired impact, and it has resulted in a lot of scrutiny.
Despite the criticism and talk around his future, Arteta is completely behind the player. The Spanish manager is optimistic that Eze will turn things around, and the 27-year-old remains a big part of his plans moving forward. Even the club are confident about him, and they haven’t even considered the idea of selling him this summer.
Arsenal remain adamant that he is an integral part of their long-term plans. Despite his recent struggles, the manager hasn’t lost faith in him. While he hasn’t had enough opportunities of late, things are expected to improve with time.
