Crystal Palace want €95 million for Adam Wharton

Crystal Palace are set to demand €95 million for Liverpool and Manchester United midfield target Adam Wharton as speculation intensifies.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool and Manchester United may have to pay €95 million for midfield target Adam Wharton ahead of the summer. The Crystal Palace star is widely expected to leave Selhurst Park in the summer for a new challenge.

Adam Wharton is already considered one of the top midfield architects in the Premier League, having grown into an influential role at Crystal Palace in a short span. The talented England international is already a target for some of the big-name teams in the division, with a summer move widely expected.

Palace are anticipating approaches from some of the big teams, with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United among those interested. The Eagles are reportedly demanding at least €95 million for Wharton ahead of the summer, with the midfielder poised to leave Selhurst Park around then.

That sum may not deter the hopes of Liverpool or Manchester United, with both those teams planning on making big changes to the midfield. Starting with Liverpool, the reigning Premier League champions had been looking for a midfield controller profile for some time now, and had links to Martin Zubimendi in the summer of 2024, but he chose to join Arsenal in 2025.

They are among those keeping close tabs on Wharton and would be willing to fork out a large sum for the midfield target. The idea of paying €95 million may not deter them in any way, considering how much they splashed last summer on the likes of key additions such as Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak.

Manchester United in pole position for Adam Wharton?

Manchester United are a key suitor for Wharton, but given the competition, they may face ample challenges ahead. The Red Devils are planning big midfield changes to the squad, especially now that Casemiro has confirmed he will leave the club once his contract expires in the summer.

They have names like Carlos Baleba and Elliot Anderson as other options, but Wharton is thought to be one of their favourite targets. There’s a big possibility that Manchester United may target more than just one midfielder in the summer, and they will be in a strong position to pay a high price for the Crystal Palace man if needed.
