Manchester United send scouts to watch Nathaniel Brown as interest stepped up

Manchester United have observed Nathaniel Brown’s performances as they eye a move for the Eintracht Frankfurt full-back.

According to Team Talk, Nathaniel Brown is emerging as a big target for Manchester United. The Premier League giants have sent scouts to watch the full-back in action for Eintracht Frankfurt as club chiefs plan on a new left-back signing next summer.

Nathaniel Brown has captured the imagination of quite a lot of clubs over the last few months. The Eintracht Frankfurt star has emerged on he radars of top Premier League sides, with Arsenal among those being credited with an interest in the left-back.

The Gunners are well-stacked in the position, but could consider a move for a new player in the role if an opportunity arises. However, in the race for Nathaniel Brown, they have serious competition as Manchester United are making some advances in the background.

The Red Devils have earmarked a new left back as part of their summer plans alongside stars in other positions on the pitch. However, they have sent scouts to watch Brown perform for Eintracht Frankfurt recently, which has led to speculation over a potential move for the 22-year-old Bundesliga wide man.

Eintracht Frankfurt are likely to demand at least £40 million to sell the full-back, who remains tied to a long-term deal at the club. Manchester United might be in a position to pay big for the right player, as they view Brown as a potential upgrade on Patrick Dorgu in the left-back position.

Will Nathaniel Brown suit Manchester United?

Manchester United have a change of tactical direction since the departure of former manager Ruben Amorim, as a back four is now being preferred. Luke Shaw remains their only natural option for the left-back role, which then makes sense to chase someone like Brown.

As things stand, someone like Dorgu is suited more to the offensive areas, considering the new system under Michael Carrick. Hence, a specialist full-back might be the next step in Manchester United’s squad-building process, as it remains to be seen whether they chase Brown ahead of next summer.
