Fulham face a pressure situation with regards to Harry Wilson’s contract situation as Everton and Leeds United circle the Welshman.
According to TEAMtalk, Fulham are coming under pressure to find a solution to Harry Wilson’s contractual situation. Not only is the Welsh attacker’s deal expiring in the summer, but Leeds United and Everton are already circling to find a way to convince the player to make the move away from Craven Cottage.
There were rumours back in the summer heavily linking Harry Wilson with a departure. In hindsight, a decision to sell him then would have made sense given his contract will expire in the summer of 2026, which did leave the Cottagers with an opportunity to cash in.
Moreover, Fulham made late moves for Samuel Chukwueze and Kevin to shore up the wide areas, which may have made Wilson dispensable. However, the Welshman has enjoyed a tremendous season by contributing to 13 goals, including 11 in the Premier League alone.
Harry Wilson has been Fulham’s best attacker this season, and at the moment, offloading him will make the club look silly. Fulham have been angling for a new contract since the end of last summer’s window, and it appears Wilson already has a contract offer from the club on the table, which remains without his signature.
Fulham face a race against time to find an agreement with the player or risk losing him on a free transfer. Everton and Leeds United are already circling to sign the Welsh wide man, probably as a summer target rather than in the present moment.
Will Fulham renew Harry Wilson’s deal?
Fulham are certainly facing a pressure situation to get a deal in place with Wilson and his camp, with the general expectation that the club to get it done before the end of the month. Amid heavy interest in Oscar Bobb and the Cottagers’ position as the favourites to land the Manchester City winger, there may be concerns from the Wilson camp about losing his place in Marco Silva’s side.
However, Fulham are reportedly insisting that Bobb is seen more as a replacement for West Ham United-linked Adama Traore, who is widely expected to join the Hammers this month. It remains to be seen whether Harry Wilson and his camp are about to sign on the new deal or delay a decision to gauge the interest from other suitors, such as Everton or Leeds United, moving forward.
