Juventus are reportedly interested in exploring a move for Noussair Mazraoui to strengthen their backline with the Manchester United star.
According to Gazzetta, Noussair Mazraoui is emerging to be a target for Juventus, who are ready to explore a move. Currently at the AFCON with Morocco, the 28-year-old defender could be seen as a perfect fit for the Bianconeri’s system, with an approach possibly on the cards.
Noussair Mazraoui has been a. smart signing by Manchester United in many ways, as former boss Erik ten Hag sanctioned his arrival. Having known the Moroccan from his time at Ajax, the Dutch manager also made good use of him in different styles at Old Trafford.
Since the arrival of Ruben Amorim, who prefers a back-three, Mazraoui has been used in a right wing-back role as well as a right centre-back in the backline. The 28-year-old defender is a versatile presence in that team, and it’s no surprise that teams like Juventus were keen to sign him back in the summer.
It appears Juventus are back in the mix for the Moroccan, as they are ready to explore a move for the defender this month. The Italian giants are looking for reinforcements in the market, and feel the 28-year-old defender could fit right into their plans, especially given the fact that they play with a back three.
Mazraoui has a contract with Manchester United until 2028, which does give the Premier League sides leeway in negotiations. It remains to be seen whether Juventus comes forward with an approach and are in a position to pay the price the Red Devils will demand for the 28-year-old defender.
Juventus to make signings this month?
Whether Juventus plans on making big signings this month remains to be seen, but they are planning for the future. Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali is a big target for the Italians, while they have also set their sights on Manchester City star Bernardo Silva on a Bosman deal in the summer.
For now, there might be some movements in Turin, as they are interested in Liverpool outcast Federico Chiesa. There might be a case that Juventus could angle to bring the former winger back to the club, but everything will depend on whether the attacker is available this month.
