Manor Solomon can end Villarreal nightmare by using specific clause

Tottenham Hotspur outcast Manor Solomon can reportedly bring an end to his Villarreal loan spell with a special clause.

Manor Solomon could return to Tottenham in the upcoming transfer window, as his loan spell at Villarreal isn’t going according to plan. According to AS via Sport Witness, the Israeli international has a specific clause in his contract that will allow him to cut short his stay in Spain.

Solomon joined Spurs in the summer of 2023. While they had massive expectations from the versatile forward, he has failed to live up to them. He was out injured for the majority of his debut campaign and then ended up joining Leeds United for the 2024/25 season.

Despite an impressive loan spell in the EFL Championship, there was no place for Manor Solomon in Thomas Frank’s plans. As a result, they ended up sending him out on loan to Villarreal. The 26-year-old was off to a flying start as he contributed towards two goals in his first two league outings.

However, things have only gone downhill for him ever since. Despite contributing towards a total of five goals, he has only racked up 358 minutes of first-team action in total. The Israeli international is frustrated by the lack of minutes and is seriously considering ending his loan stint in the upcoming transfer window.

Solomon to return to Tottenham in January

Since Manor Solomon is not an important part of their plans, the Yellow Submarine won’t mind a potential departure, as it will free up space on their squad and wage bill. Having been involved in just five games since the October international break, the player is clearly frustrated by the situation, and people close to him have suggested he is ready to part ways with the Spanish club.

As per the report, there is a special release clause in his contract that will allow him to cut short his spell and return to his parent club in January. If he does end up deciding to return to Tottenham, Thomas Frank will have a decision to make. He could either try to integrate him into his team or look to secure him another loan move.
