Manchester United are ready to break the bank and fork out €200 million to sign Real Madrid midfield mainstay Jude Bellingham.
According to a report from DefensaCentral, Manchester United are interested in acquiring the services of Jude Bellingham, as they believe the Real Madrid mainstay could help revive the club. The Red Devils are preparing a massive €200 million offer for the English international and are willing to offer him a lucrative contract.
Bellingham made a name for himself while playing for Borussia Dortmund. His sensational rise and massive potential resulted in interest from across Europe. But Real Madrid managed to beat the competition to his signature as they secured his services in a deal worth in excess of €100 million back in 2023.
He has only gone from strength to strength over the years and has done wonders for them in a variety of roles in midfield. The 22-year-old has already won a Champions League and La Liga title with the Spanish giants and is eager to add to it in the years to come.
While Bellingham is quite happy in Madrid and his contract there runs until the summer of 2029, Manchester United want to lure him away. The Red Devils have revived themselves after a poor season last time out, but there is still a long way to go for them.
They feel signing someone like Bellingham could completely transform them. He is certainly an appealing option as he is amongst the best midfielders in the world, is versatile, and more importantly, is a constant feature in the England national team.
Manchester United’s massive offer might not be enough
Having failed to sign Jude Bellingham during his Borussia Dortmund days, Manchester United have now revived their interest in him. The Red Devils are preparing a massive €200 million offer, and they are also willing to offer him a salary of around €15 million plus bonuses.
Since he is currently earning around €10 million, the offer from United will result in a massive pay hike. However, the massive financial offers might not be enough to get him out of Madrid.
Bellingham is enjoying life in the Spanish club and has no intentions of leaving him anytime soon. More importantly, Real Madrid won’t negotiate his departure irrespective of the size of the offer. Florentino Perez will straight away point towards his €1 billion if the Red Devils do end up making a move.
