Napoli ready to trigger €44 million clause to seal Rasmus Hojlund permanent deal

Napoli are reportedly interested in sealing a permanent move for Rasmus Hojlund at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Rasmus Hojlund is currently on loan at Napoli, and he has done quite well for them. According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Serie A champions are ready to seal a €44 million summer move for the Manchester United misfit.

Hojlund will be desperate to get his career back on track, and joining Napoli permanently would be ideal for him.He does not have a future at Manchester United, and returning to the Premier League club does not make any sense for the player. It would make sense for him to stay at Napoli and continue to perform at a high level.

The Dane is playing alongside quality players at the Serie A club, and he is working with a world-class manager like Antonio Conte, who will only help him improve further. It makes a lot of sense for the Partenopei to sign him permanently as well.

Napoli need quality in their attacking unit, and signing the 22-year-old for a reasonable amount of money would be a wise decision. There is no doubt that he is a promising young player with a bright future. Even though the move to Manchester United has not worked out, he has proven himself in Italy consistently. It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can finalise the agreement quickly.

Manchester United could use the Hojlund money to improve the team

Manchester United have already signed a replacement for Rasmus Hojlund, and they will be hoping to improve the team further in the coming windows. Selling the 22-year-old will help them fund other signings in future.

Napoli will be hoping to continue fighting for major trophies, and they need quality players at their disposal. The 22-year-old Manchester United misfit could be an asset for them in the long run. The youngster has no future at Old Trafford either.

Meanwhile,  Manchester United need more support in their attacking unit. Benjamin Sesko is still adapting to Premier League football, and signing another striker would be ideal. Manchester United should look to sell Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee in the coming windows and sign another reliable goalscorer.
