Manchester United are reportedly interested in a move for Adrien Truffert to strengthen a key position, having kept track of the Bournemouth star.
According to Team Talk, Manchester United are keeping track of several players at Bournemouth, and Adrien Truffert is one among those. The French left-back is seen as a potential future option to strengthen the left wing-back role for Ruben Amorim, as a January move will be challenging, if at all the Red Devils are thinking about it.
Bournemouth are fast becoming the club in the Premier League that are garnering a reputation for fast-tracking player development. The reign under Andoni Iraola has been profitable for the club in the short run, as they did make hefty player sales back in the summer, with many key stars departing the club.
The club have done exceptionally well in replacing some of the departed stars, while developing others as well. A host of top teams within the Premier League are keeping track of some of the Cherries players, with Manchester United now interested in left-back Adrien Truffert.
The one-cap France international arrived back in the summer from Rennes and has made a big impact in the team. Manchester United are already looking at him as a potential option to strengthen the left wing-back position in the near future, as a quick jump from Bournemouth to Old Trafford will represent a solid career move for the 24-year-old wide player.
Manchester United are keen to strengthen those wing-back positions on both ends to move towards a complete team under Ruben Amorim. Names like Daniel Munoz have been mentioned of late, while there are others under consideration for both flanks.
Manchester United keeping track of multiple Bournemouth stars?
Signing Truffert in January may not materialise unless he, too, has a release clause that clubs can trigger. Hence, any move will be in the future, as he’s not the only Bournemouth player that Manchester United are keeping tabs on, as midfielder Tyler Adams is also someone of interest.
Attacker Antoine Semenyo is also a target for Manchester United, with some reports stating Amorim could potentially use him as a wing-back on either side, similar to the usage of Amad Diallo. Hence, there’s a possibility the Red Devils will look to strengthen their wing-back positions in January, although those two Bournemouth stars, particularly Truffert, may not be achievable.
