Leeds United vs Norwich City: Preview and Prediction ahead of the second leg of their playoff spot semifinal at Elland Road..

Leeds United are part of at least three clubs chasing Tromso’s Norwegian midfield sensation Jens Hjerto-Dahl ahead of January.

According to Football Insider, Jens Hjerto-Dahl is attracting attention from at least three Premier League sides ahead of January. Leeds United are part of the hunt in a big way, while Bournemouth and Brighton & Hove Albion are also keeping close tabs as his current contract with Tromso could open doors to a transfer in January.

Tromso have a big decision on their hands with regards to midfield sensation Jens Hjerto-Dahl ahead of the winter transfer window. The midfielder has been earning rave reviews for his performances for the Norwegian first-tier side and has been involved in 10 goals this season for the club.

The youngster has also been performing well for the Norway Under-21 side, which has seen him tipped for bigger things. So, there is a genuine shout for him to make the World Cup squad next year. His current deal at Tromso expires in 2027, which opens up the possibility of a sale in January, which might prove to be the best time for the Norwegian side to cash in for the right value.

Leeds United are among those interested in Hjerto-Dahl, with the Premier League strugglers not the only keen party in town. Brighton, known for their knack of developing players into top stars, are also part of the race, while Bournemouth are also in the mix with many young stars eager to join the club owing to Andoni Iraola’s presence at the Cherries.

However, it is Leeds United who are pushing to get a deal in place with Tromso for the Norwegian midfield sensation, as they too have a reputation for developing talents. Hjerto-Dahl may not be seen as ready-made for Premier League action straight away despite his rich first-team experience in Norway, but the Norwegian midfield sensation certainly can develop and turn into a top talent in the English top flight.

Leeds United to be active in January?

Leeds United are steadily slipping into the abysmal relegation zone, with results consistently going away from Daniel Farke’s control. There are reports stating the German manager may be under a watch over the next few games, which might even determine his future. However, the club are likely to enter January with the intention of solving a few problem areas, namely the striker position, as Canadian star Promise David is a target.

They are also visibly eyeing reinforcements to their midfield, as Galatasaray’s Gabriel Sara is a potential target. However, the chase of Hjerto-Dahl also signifies the need for clubs to switch away from first-team planning and remain steadfast in acquiring top talents for the future, as the Norwegian midfield sensation could be a player who develops at the club.
