Arsenal, Liverpool preparing bids to sign Rodrygo Goes, Real Madrid ready to sell

Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly gearing up to make offers for Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo.

Rodrygo has not had the best of times at Real Madrid in the recent past. The arrival of Xabi Alonso has seen him go down the pecking order, and the Brazilian international could end up parting ways with Real Madrid in the upcoming winter transfer window.

According to a report from Caught Offside, Arsenal and Liverpool are both keen on signing the 24-year-old, and they are preparing bids to bring him to the English top flight. Los Blancos are reportedly ready to listen to offers for the Santos graduate.

Rodrygo has been a part of the Real Madrid setup since 2019. He has only gone from strength to strength since and has played a massive part in all the success they have had in the recent past.

Rodrygo’s time at Real Madrid could end soon

While he is widely regarded as one of the best wingers in the game, the 24-year-old is no longer a regular starter at the Spanish club. Xabi Alonso’s arrival has seen the player’s involvement go down significantly as he is competing with Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe for a place in the XI.

Having been on the pitch for just over 400 minutes so far, Rodrygo is frustrated with how things are panning out. While he would have loved to honour his contract that runs until 2028, the Brazilian is now considering parting ways with the club.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are also looking to cash in on him, as he is no longer an integral part of their plans. The Merengues have informed interested clubs that they would let him leave as long as they received a decent financial offer. They are looking for something in the region of €85-90 million.

Premier League giants to wage battle

Liverpool are one of the front-runners for Rodrygo’s signature. The Reds might have spent a fortune on reinforcing their attack in the summer, but they are still looking for more quality in the final third. Following the tragic passing of Diogo Jota and the departure of Luis Diaz, the Merseyside club want to bring in a world-class winger.

They believe Rodrygo could even help them cope with the eventual departure of Mohamed Salah, who is in the final phase of his career. Meanwhile, Arsenal also seek more quality and depth on the flanks. They have been looking for an upgrade on the left flank, and the Brazilian can certainly help them out. He could even provide cover on the right as well as up top.

The Gunners could match Real Madrid’s asking price if the South American attacker expresses his desire to leave. Meanwhile, Liverpool are also preparing an offer to get him out of the Santiago Bernabeu.
