Karim Adeyemi prefers Arsenal move over Manchester United

Liverpool are plotting a move for RB Salzburg wonderkid Karim Adeyemi who continues to go from strength to strength in Austria

Karim Adeyemi reportedly prefers a switch to Arsenal over Manchester United, with the winger ready to leave Borussia Dortmund next summer.

According to Daily Mirror, Manchester United may have to find an alternate target to Karim Adeyemi as the winger prefers a switch to Arsenal over Old Trafford. The German international is also ready to leave Borussia Dortmund next summer, and the Bundesliga side’s asking price is another issue for the Red Devils to deal with.

Karim Adeyemi has been attracting interest of late from a few Premier League sides. The versatile attacker is set to enter a pivotal period in his career as his time at Borussia Dortmund could be drawing to a close amid speculation over stalled contract talks.

The German winger’s contract expires in 2027, which makes it imperative for Borussia Dortmund to sort out his future. If Adeyemi fails to agree a new deal, the Bundesliga giants will have no choice but to sell him, and it appears the 23-year-old is ready to accept a new challenge elsewhere.

Borussia Dortmund reportedly want £75 million for Karim Adeyemi, which is well over what key suitor Manchester United are willing to pay. Given the winger will be in the final year of his deal there next summer, the Red Devils had reportedly planned to pay much less in an attempt to sign him then.

There have been reports linking Arsenal with an interest in Adeyemi, and it appears the German attacker prefers to join the Gunners over Manchester United. Ruben Amorim wanted a new type of attacker as he continues to make adjustments to the ideal squad he wants, with Adeyemi seen as a key cog if the conditions are suitable.

Will Arsenal sign Karim Adeyemi?

Despite Adeyemi’s reported preference to join the Gunners over Manchester United, the latter could still have a chance at the 23-year-old winger. However, looking at Arsenal, they may not particularly need a player of his profile as things stand, as Mikel Arteta’s side are well stacked with left-footed wingers such as Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke and young Max Dowman, while Ethan Nwaneri can also feature there.

Arsenal are looking at Kenan Yildiz as a big target next summer, and they are rumoured to have an interest in Antoine Semenyo as well. Those players are different from what Karim Adeyemi has to offer, meaning Arteta’s side may not be too keen on someone like the Borussia Dortmund attacker unless there is a big departure of a right winger next summer.
