Aston Villa, Everton, Newcastle United vying for Mika Biereth

Aston Villa, Everton and Newcastle United are interested in acquiring the services of AS Monaco attacking sensation Mika Biereth.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Mika Biereth could soon secure a return to the Premier League as Aston Villa, Everton, and Newcastle United are all keen on signing him. He has been doing wonders for AS Monaco over the last six months, and English clubs have taken note of his impressive performances.

While Biereth was a part of the Arsenal youth setup, things didn’t work out for him at the North London club. He left them to join Sturm Graz in search of a more prominent role before joining the French giants at the start of the year.

Since moving to France, the 22-year-old striker has been involved in a total of 19 matches, and he ended up contributing towards 16 goals (13 goals, 3 assists). His exceptional performances in the final third have been closely monitored by multiple English clubs.

Premier League trio could battle it out for Biereth

Aston Villa, Everton, and Newcastle United are all on the lookout for a new number nine, and the Danish striker is a part of their wishlist. They are quite impressed with his work at Monaco and are considering making a move for him.

Amidst uncertainty around Ollie Watkins’s long-term future, Villa are looking for someone who can lead the line in the long run. Having sold Jhon Duran during the winter window, there is certainly a lot of room for a new striker.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are also looking to add more depth and quality in the final third. While they already have Alexander Isak in their ranks, they have been linked with Hugo Ekitike and Yoane Wissa in recent weeks. Biereth is also a part of their shortlist, and signing him could be much easier than signing the big names on their radar.

Following Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s departure, Everton certainly need more quality in the final third, and Biereth could help their cause. While he only has a limited amount of experience at the highest level, he certainly has the potential to be a special player.

While his contract at Monaco runs until the summer of 2030, they are ready to negotiate his departure for around £40 million, as it would represent a massive profit on the €13 million they had spent to sign him just six months back.
