Anton Stach set to join Leeds United

Daniel Farke’s Leeds United reportedly have an agreement in place to sign TSG Hoffenheim defensive midfielder Anton Stach.

According to a report by BBC Sport, Anton Stach is all set to move to the Premier League as Leeds United have an agreement in place with TSG Hoffenheim for his transfer. While a verbal agreement was already in place, the Yorkshire-based outfit now have a full agreement with the Bundesliga outfit after intense negotiations this week.

Stach made a name for himself at FSV Mainz 05, and on the back of his impressive performances, he joined TSG Hoffenheim in the summer of 2023. The player has established himself as one of their mainstays, and he was one of their standout players last season.

The German international was involved in a total of 39 matches and even contributed towards four goals. While Stach prefers playing as a defensive midfielder, he can feature in any role in midfield and can even chip in as a centre-back when needed.

Anton Stach still has two years left on his deal with the Bundesliga club. However, it seems he is all set to make the move to England, with newly promoted Leeds United pushing for his signature.

Leeds United strike a deal for Stach

Daniel Farke is someone who closely follows the Bundesliga due to his connections in his homeland, and the Leeds United identified Stach as an ideal fit for his system at the newly promoted Premier League club. With the Whites looking to ensure they survive in the English top flight, they feel the 26-year-old could certainly help their cause.

The West Yorkshire outfit have been working on a potential transfer for weeks. Leeds United first reached an agreement on personal terms with the German international before fully focusing on striking a deal with Hoffenheim. The Whites have now reached a full agreement with the Bundesliga club after days of intense negotiations, and it is considered a done deal.

They already had a verbal agreement with Hoffenheim and have now finalised all the details. The Bundesliga side will receive a fee exceeding €20 million. The 26-year-old midfielder is set to undergo his medical as a new Leeds player in the coming days, signing a four-year contract with the newly promoted Premier League club.
