Arsenal are considering a move for Antoine Semenyo as Mikel Arteta weighs in options to strengthen the wide attacking areas.
According to Fichajes, Arsenal have added Antoine Semenyo to their list of wide attackers ahead of the summer. Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta will decide on one target among a host of names in the market, with the Bournemouth star reportedly valued at €50 million in the upcoming window.
Bournemouth are bracing for many offers to arrive for some of their top performers. They have already conceded defeat in efforts to keep defender Dean Huijsen, while the likes of Antoine Semenyo and Milos Kerkez are also expected to depart in the window.
Semenyo has had a fantastic season, probably his best since he started playing professionally. The Ghanaian has 11 goals and 7 assists across all competitions this term for Bournemouth, as he has already attracted big interest in the market including that of Manchester United.
It appears Arsenal and Manchester United’s paths could cross in the window with the chase of Semenyo. The Gunners are also in the mix for Matheus Cunha, with the Red Devils seen as the favourites to land the Brazilian from Wolves.
Semenyo and Cunha are somewhat similar in their style of play, as they can occupy many positions in the attacking third including playing as a false nine if needed. Hence, Arsenal chasing the Guanaian, valued at a reported €50 million in the upcoming window, as Mikel Arteta weighs in from several options available.
Arsenal seeking a wide attacker
Arsenal are considering signing a new winger in the window, with Nico Williams one of the big names on their list. There are some concerns with the position in the current squad with the likes of Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli not performing to their expected levels. Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens is also a target, as the Gunners are prepared to invest properly in a new wide attacker.
It remains to be seen which of those names are at the very top of their list in the summer, with Semenyo now an interesting option for Arteta to consider. It remains to be seen whether Bournemouth are open to selling the €50 million-rated winger, as they might stand to gain more and ask for a better fee to offload the Guanaian.
