A host of top clubs are showing big interest in Albacete teenager Christian Kofane who has a release clause worth a mere €5 million.
According to Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Real Madrid and Barcelona are among a lot of clubs keen on Christian Kofane. The Albacete teenager has been attracting big interest due to his impressive performances, as he has a very modest release clause worth €5 million.
Many of the top-tier clubs are always looking out for bargain additions to their squad, as opposed to paying tens of millions for established talents. The primary objective for these clubs is to find the right talent suited for their respective squad, but they are always keen to find out more about talents less scouted in areas barely touched by their network.
One of the prime examples is the talent of Christian Kofane, who plays for La Liga 2 side Albacete. He has had some good level of performances this season, and given his tender age, the numbers are rather impressive. He has six goals and an assist to his name, which given where he is in the footballing sphere is quite good.
Hence, there’s no surprise at the level of interest being generated in the 18-year-old African wonderkid, as Real Madrid are among those keen. Aston Villa, Manchester United and Barcelona are among the host of other teams interested in the striker, as there could be a battle of sorts in the summer.
Kofane has a contract until 2031, which may put Albacete in a strong position but that is not the case. As it happens, the 18-year-old African wonderkid has a modest release clause worth €5 million in his deal, which does put a lot of his suitors in a good position to trigger that and take their bets on the raw striker.
Christian Kofane to join a big club
Kofane has been in Spain for a brief period and might view the idea of playing in La Liga as tempting at the current moment. Hence, the idea of joining one of the premier giants like Barcelona or Real Madrid could appeal to the young striker.
However, one cannot rule out the lure of playing in England for one of the top Premier League sides, as Manchester United and Aston Villa could be an exciting idea for the 18-year-old African wonderkid. The latter could be more of an appeal, as he could probably have a better chance of breaking into the first team under Unai Emery rather than Ruben Amorim at this point.
