Arsenal establish contact with Manchester United as they look to sign their star forward Marcus Rashford in a €25 million deal.
According to Massimo Marianella via SpazioJ, Arsenal have entered the race for the services of Marcus Rashford and they have contacted Manchester United as they look to strike a deal in the ongoing transfer window.
While Rashford has been a key figure in the Red Devils’ first team for years, things haven’t been that great for him in recent seasons. The English international has struggled for form and he seems to have gone down the pecking order at the club in recent months.
Rashford’s time at United could end soon
The arrival of Ruben Amorim at the club hasn’t done any good for the 27-year-old forward. He was dropped from the squad for the derby against Manchester City and has yet to feature in any of their fixtures since.
While his contract at Old Trafford runs until the summer of 2028, his time at United could soon come to an end. Rashford has already suggested that he is ready for a new challenge and the club are also ready to part ways with him as his departure could help raise some decent funds and free up a lot of space on their wage bill.
There is a significant amount of interest in his services from across Europe. Juventus and AC Milan are two Italian clubs who want to sign him, Borussia Dortmund are also in the mix but Marianella has revealed that Arsenal have just entered the race.
While speaking on Sky Sport program Calciomercato – L’origine, Marianella said: “It seems that Arsenal have made a phone call to Manchester United for Rashford. The club has valued him at 25 million .”
Arsenal pushing for Rashford
The Gunners want more firepower in the final third of the pitch. With Bukayo Saka out injured, they want to bring in a new winger and Rashford could be a great acquisition for them as he can take their attack to the next level. He could be just the perfect left winger Mikel Arteta needs for his team.
The North London club have already made the first move by contacting United. They have made a phone call to the Red Devils as they look to snatch their academy graduate and would be willing to fork out €25 million for the English international.
