Tottenham are looking to reinforce their squad after a poor first half of the season. Ange Postecoglou seeks more quality in the centre of the park and according to a report from Tuttomercato, the North London club are ready to step up their interest in the services of Davide Frattesi.
Frattesi made a name for himself at Sassuolo before moving to Inter Milan during the summer of 2023. He initially joined them on a season-long loan with the move becoming permanent ahead of the ongoing season.
The 25-year-old had an impressive debut campaign. While he was more of a super-sub, the Italian international had quite an impact on their results. Frattesi expected to have a more important role this time around but things haven’t changed.
He remains one of the backup options and has racked up less than 1,000 minutes in his 22 outings. He hasn’t started a single league game since the end of October and in the last month, he only played 182 minutes out of the possible 630.
Frattesi is frustrated by the lack of minutes and he confronted manager Simone Inzaghi looking for a bigger role in the team. But, that is unlikely to happen with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nicolo Barella in their squad.
Inter want to keep hold of the squad they have at this point in time and have asked the player to continue until the end of the season. But, if he has his heart set on a move away from the club, they want €45 million to sanction his departure.
