Liverpool ready to sell Trent Alexander-Arnold for €30 million in January

RCD Mallorca vs Real Madrid: Preview and Prediction ahead of their La Liga league match this Sunday night. .

Liverpool are ready to sanction the departure of their defensive mainstay Trent Alexander-Arnold for €30 million in January.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future has been a massive talking point of late. The English international’s contract at Liverpool is running out at the end of the season and he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid. Los Blancos are keen on adding him to their squad as they look to reinforce the right-back position.

While they can secure his services for free ahead of next season, the team in white are considering raiding Liverpool in the winter. According to a report from Defensa Central, the Reds are ready to sanction his departure in January for €30 million.

Alexander-Arnold has come up the ranks at the Merseyside club and he has been a part of their first team setup since the summer of 2016. The English full-back has been a key figure in the team and has helped them win all major titles.

While he remains a key figure under Arne Slot, his future at the club is uncertain with his contract expiring at the end of the season. Liverpool are pushing for a renewal but they haven’t been able to secure an agreement so far.

The 26-year-old full-back will be free to agree a pre-contract with an overseas club starting January as the Reds are worried about his future amidst interest from Real Madrid. The Spanish giants are looking to bring in a new right-back who can take over from the ageing duo of Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez.

Real Madrid can sign Alexander-Arnold €30 million

Alexander-Arnold is quite keen on making the move to Los Blancos and Carlo Ancelotti’s team considers him an ideal fit for their system. While they can secure his services for free next season, they are also contemplating pushing for his signature in the upcoming transfer window.

With Carvajal out injured for the remainder of the season, Alexander-Arnold could be an ideal signing to bolster their squad mid-season. The Reds don’t really want to sell him mid-way through the campaign and surely not to one of their European rivals, Real Madrid but they have laid down the conditions that could result in a move.

If an interested club is ready to table €30 million in January, the Reds won’t stand in his way as they are at risk of losing him for free in the summer. The priority is to extend his contract but if he doesn’t put pen to paper, Real Madrid could try their luck in the winter.
