Manchester United could offer summer signing Joshua Zirkzee in a deal to bring Inter Milan ace Lautaro Martinez to Old Trafford.

According to a report from Fichajes, Manchester United are looking to further bolster their attack and they are interested in signing Inter Milan skipper Lautaro Martinez. They are considering offering Joshua Zirkzee as a part of the deal to lower the cost of the operation.

Martinez joined the Italian giants in the summer of 2018 after coming up the ranks at Racing Club. He has gone from strength to strength over the years and has established himself as one of the best strikers in the world.

The World Cup winner is a key figure in the Inter dressing room and he has had an exceptional start to the new season with six goals and four assists in his 15 outings.

While the Inter skipper’s current deal runs until the summer of 2029, he could be on the move in the near future. His next destination could be the Premier League where Manchester United are working hard to secure his services.

The Red Devils have made significant investments in recent windows to add more quality to their attack but things haven’t worked out for them. Now, they are looking to bring in a proven goal scorer to give Ruben Amorim the firepower he seeks.

United plot a player-plus-cash deal to sign Martinez

They have made Martinez their top target and in order to convince Inter to sell their best player, they are considering offering Joshua Zirkzee as a part of the deal. They are looking to offer around €60 million plus the Dutch international.

It could be a win-win situation for all parties involved. Inter will get a massive fee along with an ideal replacement who has huge potential. While United will get their top target, they will also be able to move on Zirkzee whose big-money move to Old Trafford hasn’t really worked out.

The 23-year-old had a sensation start as he scored on his debut but he is yet to add to it. The majority of his appearances have come off the bench and the former Bayern Munich star is getting frustrated by the lack of minutes.
