West Ham United to return for Yuri Alberto

West Ham could reignite their interest in Yuri Alberto, as the striker is keen on a switch to the Premier League. Newcastle United and Everton are also keen.

According to TBR, West Ham could return to the table for Yuri Alberto, as the striker yearns for a switch to the Premier League. The Corinthians man also has the interest of Newcastle United and Everton ahead of the January window, as the Hammers would want to set themselves in pole position.

Yuri Alberto has had a decent journey so far. At 23, he has already experienced European football with his stint at Zenit St Petersburg. Last summer, he was reportedly looking to make the move to the Premier League, as West Ham held an interest.

The Hammers might have tabled a £14 million bid to sign him, although it was Southampton who came extremely close with a £17 million offer. The Saints called off the move for squad space reasons, and this could allow West Ham a chance to make a transfer for the striker ahead of January.

West Ham has a striker problem. Michail Antonio and Danny Ings are coming to the end of their deals, while summer arrival Niclas Fullkrug hasn’t lived up to his billing after a big summer move. Either way, the Hammers are on the lookout for a new striker, and this time, they might reignite their interest in Alberto.

The Brazilian striker is also wanted by Newcastle United and Everton, among other English clubs. Either of those top-flight sides might consider the attacker a decent addition to their side, as both need a new centre-forward ahead of the January window.

Everton and Newcastle United keen on Yuri Alberto

Everton are considering selling Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of January, given that they could lose him on the free next summer. They will need a new striker to replace the English centre-forward, and ASlbertopn, given his low-cost availability, could be that man.

Newcastle United are also looking at Alberto as they are open to selling Callum Wilson in January rather than losing him for free next summer. Alberto might be a good enough replacement for the English striker, although he will need a period of adaptation to settle at the club.
