Inter Milan eyeing Antony loan swoop

Simone Inzaghi’s Inter Milan are interested in acquiring the services of Manchester United flop Antony.

According to a report from InterLive, Inter Milan are keen on signing Antony as they look to add more quality to their attack. The Brazilian international has struggled to adjust to life at Old Trafford and he could end up parting ways with the Red Devils in the near future.

Antony made a name for himself while playing for Ajax. His impressive performances along with his massive potential resulted in a big move move to Manchester United. They forked out a massive €95 million to add him to their squad.

While Erik ten Hag was the one who pushed for his signing, the Dutch manager hasn’t been able to make the best use of the 24-year-old winger. Antony has showcased glimpses of the talent he possesses but he has never been consistent enough.

The former Ajax winger has gone down the pecking order under Ten Hag and has only played 139 minutes of first-team football in the ongoing season. While his contract at Old Trafford runs until the summer of 2027, the club seems ready to sanction his departure.

Inter Milan want Antony

There is interest in his services from Inter Milan who are considering making a move in the winter. The Italian giants might not have the best of finances but they do find ways to bring top talents to the club.

Inzaghi’s team are always on the lookout for opportunities in the market and they have found one in Antony. Inter are interested in reinforcing their flanks but in order to sign Antony they need to first get Joaquin Correa off their books and make room for a new signing.

United would love a permanent departure but that is unlikely to happen. Given the kind of wage the young winger is on, a short loan spell away from the club is the most likely outcome with the Red Devils paying a portion of his enormous wages.

A move away from Old Trafford will be a fresh opportunity for Antony to get things back on track. While he might have failed to deliver at United, the Brazilian international can surely turn things around with a move to the Serie where multiple clubs seem to be interested in him.
