Bayern Munich eyeing 2025 move for Alisson Becker

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are plotting a move for Liverpool shot-stopper Alisson Becker in the summer of 2025.

According to a report from The Sun, Bayern Munich have started planning for life without Manuel Neuer, and they are interested in the services of Alisson Becker. The Liverpool shot-stopper has been linked with a move away from the club of late, and Vincent Kompany is keen on bringing him to Munich.

Alisson Becker joined the Reds back in the summer of 2018 for a fee of £67 million. He has done wonders for them and played a key role in all the success they enjoyed under Jurgen Klopp. The experienced goalkeeper remains their preferred choice in goal under Arne Slot.

However, his long-term future at Liverpool is not certain. The 31-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper was linked with a move away from the club throughout the summer. There was interest in his services from Saudi Pro League clubs. But, he ended up staying at the club.

While his contract runs until the summer of 2027, Alisson could look to leave Anfield after the end of the 2024/25 season. Liverpool have already signed a replacement for the Brazilian in Giorgi Mamardashvili. The Valencia goalkeeper will be making the move to the Premier League next summer, and he could take over as their new number one.

Bayern keen on signing Alisson

Bayern Munich are well aware of the situation, and they are looking to lure Alisson to their club. The 38-year-old Manuel Neuer has been the Bundesliga giants’ go-to man in goal for as long as one can remember. While he is still at the top of his game, his fitness levels have become a major concern.

With the veteran shot-stopper’s contract running out at the end of the season, Kompany is considering signing a new goalkeeper, and he feels Alisson Becker could take over as their new number one.

While Bayern Munich can surely offer him a great project, they will have to make a significant financial offer to lure him to Germany as he seems to be inclined towards joining a club in the Middle East. With Mamardashvili coming in, it will surely make sense if Liverpool ends up cashing in on Alisson next summer.
