Arsenal learn asking price for Darwin Nunez

Arsenal offer €47 million to sign Chelsea target Riccardo Calafiori, told to pay more.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will have to fork out €110-120 million for the services of Liverpool attacking sensation Darwin Nunez.

According to a report from Fichajes, Arsenal are looking to reinforce their attack before the end of the transfer window and they are interested in the services of Liverpool star Darwin Nunez who could cost between €110-120 million.

Nunez made a name for himself at Benfica before making the move to Anfield in the summer of 2022 in a deal worth €85 million. He has featured in a total of 97 matches for the Reds and has contributed towards 50 goals (33 goals, 17 assists).

Despite some tough days, the 25-year-old forward has thrived since his move to England, quickly establishing himself as a key member of Liverpool’s first team. Nunez was one of the go-to players for Klopp over the last two seasons but reports suggest things haven’t been that great for him under Arne Slot.

The Uruguayan international hasn’t had that big a role in their initial matches of the season and while his contract runs until 2028, his future at Anfield looks a bit uncertain. Reports have linked him with a move away from the Merseyside club and Arsenal are the ones keen on signing the Liverpool star.

Mikel Arteta wasn’t really happy with the output of his strikers last season. As a result, the Spanish manager has been keen on reinforcing their attack. While they have been linked with quite a few top forwards, nothing concrete has happened yet.

Arsenal linked with€110-120 million-rated Nunez

In a quest to strengthen their attack, Arsenal have been looking at Nunez as a potential option. They feel the 25-year-old could be an ideal fit for their team. He could be just the right player to add power as well as goals to their attack. His pace could do wonders for them. But, the Gunners are not going to find it easy to strike a deal with Liverpool.

The Reds consider him an important part of their plans and they will only let him leave for a fee between €110-120 million. With four years left on his deal, the Reds are in a position of strength and they want to ensure they make a significant profit on the player while selling him.

Arsenal not working on a deal to sign Nunez

The report from Fichajes suggests Arsenal are interested in Nunez’s services and they could sign him for €110-120 million. But, according to Alex Crook, the reports linking the former Benfica forward to Arsenal are wide off the mark. The North London club are not pushing for his services despite the fact that they are looking for more firepower in attack.
