Arne Slot’s Liverpool have decided to send their academy graduate Bobby Clark out on a season-long loan.
According to a report from Football Insider, Liverpool seem to have made a decision regarding the future of Bobby Clark. They are all set to send the teenage sensation out on loan to ensure he gets regular first-team action and continues his development.
Clark was a part of the Newcastle United youth setup before he made the move to Merseyside in the summer of 2021. He started off with the Reds Under-18 team and has worked his way into the first team.
The 19-year-old midfield sensation managed to break into Jurgen Klopp’s first team last season. He was involved in a total of 14 matches and even bagged a goal and two assists.
His impressive performances have earned him a promotion to their senior team. But, he missed out on their pre-season tour to the USA with a back injury. He hasn’t got the opportunity to impress new boss Arne Slot yet and Clark might not be a part of his first team squad for the 2024/25 season.
Liverpool ready to loan out Bobby Clark
While he has four years left on his deal, there is no shortage of interest in the teenager’s services. Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg who are managed by former Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders recently knocked on the English club’s door for the signature of Clark.
They tabled an offer worth £6 million but it has been turned down by the Reds. They do not have any intentions to let the English sensation leave the club permanently. While he might not be parting ways permanently, the Reds are open to a loan move.
While they are the only team in the top five European Leagues to not have signed a first-team player and Clark could be of great use, Liverpool have decided to let him leave on a loan to gather first-team experience. Quite a few clubs from the Championship are keen on signing him on loan. Leeds United and Norwich City are two top clubs who have been linked with the English sensation.
