Liverpool and Manchester United retain their interest in the services of Juventus defensive mainstay Gleison Bremer.
According to a report from Corriere dello Sport via Paisley Gate, Liverpool and Manchester United are both keen on signing Gleison Bremer. While Juventus are hopeful of keeping him in their ranks, they are still concerned that the Premier League clubs could tempt him with an attractive offer in the coming days.
Bremer has only gone from strength to strength since joining the Old Lady from Torino in the summer of 2022. He has established himself as one of their go-to man at the back. While the Brazilian international has been a consistent performer for them and still has four years left on his deal, he has been linked with a move away from the club since the start of the summer.
Liverpool and Manchester United want to sign Bremer
The 27-year-old has been linked with clubs from England with Liverpool and Manchester United being two of the interested parties. They remain interested in the Juventus mainstay and are closely monitoring his situation at the Turin-based club.
Both English giants seem to be playing the waiting game to sign Gleison Bremer. While the Old Lady do seem to be in full control of the situation with four years left on his deal, the report suggests that his contract has a release clause worth €60 million, which remains active till August 10.
Juventus are confident about keeping hold of their star but they are concerned that either of the English clubs could tempt Bremer with a lucrative deal. Liverpool could be the one as they are yet to make a major signing this window.
With Joel Matip leaving the club upon the expiry of his contract, they do need more quality and depth at the club. The Brazilian international could be an exceptional addition to Arne Slot’s team.
While he could be an equally good addition to a Manchester United backline, they have already forked out a significant feel to add Leny Yoro to their squad and once again going big for a defender might be beyond their reach. The Reds do seem to have the edge at this point as they also have Champions League football to offer.
