Manchester United pushing to seal Chido Obi-Martin deal soon

Manchester United want to complete the signing of Arsenal attacking prodigy Chido Obi-Martin at the earliest possible.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are keen on securing the services of Chido Obi-Martin. The Red Devils have been working hard to complete his signing as soon as possible. The Arsenal attacking sensation is expected to make a decision regarding his future in the coming days.

Obi-Martin’s incredible rise to prominence

Obi-Martin came up the ranks at FC Copenhagen before joining the North London club in the summer of 2022. He has gone from strength to strength since joining the Premier League club. While he hasn’t made his senior debut yet, the 16-year-old is already quite a popular name thanks to his heroics at the Under-18 level.

He is considered to be the brightest prospect at Arsenal since Bukayo Saka. The Danish striker was involved in 20 Under-18 Premier League games last season and the teenager was on fire as he found the back of the net on 32 occasions.

Last October he was involved in an Under-16 fixture, where he scored ten goals against Liverpool’s youth level. His exceptional performances in age-group football have resulted in a significant amount of interest from across Europe.

Arsenal have been working hard to ensure they do not lose out one of the brightest attacking prospects around. But, their efforts haven’t yielded any positive results as the player seems set to leave the club this summer in search of a new adventure. While the Gunners submitted a huge contract proposal, the player didn’t give a green light to it.

United pushing for the signature of Obi-Martin

His departure seems imminent with the player expected to make a decision in the next hours/days after having visited several clubs in the UK as well as Germany. Manchester United are the ones who have been working very hard to secure his services.

The Red Devils are always on the lookout for opportunities to further strengthen their team. They seem to have found a great opportunity in Obi-Martin who is expected to be the next big thing. While he is not yet ready for first-team football, given his potential it won’t take him long to reach the biggest stage.

With multiple top clubs interested in the 16-year-old, United are pushing hard to ensure they can beat the competition. They want to close the deal as soon as possible and it will be interesting to see what Obi-Martin’s final call is.
