Arsenal submit offer to sign Ferdi Kadioglu

Arsenal offer €47 million to sign Chelsea target Riccardo Calafiori, told to pay more.

Arsenal have reportedly submitted an offer for Ferdi Kadioglu in the region of €20 million, with Fenerbahce demanding between €35-40 million.

According to Turkish outlet Ajansspor, Arsenal may have already made a €20 million offer to sign Ferdi Kadioglu. The versatile defender has been featured on Mikel Arteta’s shortlist for quite some time now, and the Gunners might be making a concrete effort to sign him. However, Fenerbahce are reportedly demanding a fee between €35-40 million.

Arsenal’s offer for Ferdi Kadioglu

Fenerbahce have recognised some of the player values within their squad and will do their utmost to keep those players from selling on the cheap. Ferdi Kadioglu has been one of those players, with the 24-year-old Dutch-born Turkish wide player playing an astonishing 51 times last season.

He is known to be a right-footed left-back who can play on the other flank with ease, as well as slot in a midfield role if needed. Such versatility has attracted Mikel Arteta’s interest in him, as the Spaniard really likes players who can offer more than their conventional role.

Early reports from Turly insisted Arsenal had already agreed on a deal, but those weren’t true, although the Gunners certainly hold an interest in the 24-year-old full-back. Currently, Kadioglu is with the Turkiye side at the Euros, where he started the first game against Georgia, and they began with a win.

Further reports have stated the Gunners may have an agreement on personal terms with Kadioglu, and now they might have already submitted a bid for the full-back. Arsenal have reported that they made a €20 million offer to sign the left-back, with the story insisting that Fenerbahce is holding out for at least €35-40 million for their prized asset.

Borussia Dortmund to compete with Arsenal for Kadioglu

At the rate of €35-40 million, Arsenal are unlikely to add more fuel to this interest, as they will not pay such a sum. While the Gunners can certainly return with another offer, they might have to better what Borussia Dortmund has offered, at the very least.

With Arsenal’s €20 million bid in place, Dortmund have reportedly made a €25 million offer to sign Kadioglu. Both these sides will make sense for the 24-year-old as he looks certain to leave Fenerbahce this summer, although Fenerbahce’s demands may eventually complicate any move for the Turkiye international.
