Manchester United will be in the mix to sign Vinicius Junior should Real Madrid decide to cash in on the talismanic 23-year-old Brazilian.

Fichajes insists Real Madrid might sacrifice Vinicius Junior in the summer to facilitate a move for Kylian Mbappe. In such a scenario, Manchester United will be in the mix to bring the 23-year-old Real Madrid talisman to Old Trafford, although there will be massive interest in the Brazilian

Are Manchester United keen on Vinicius Junior?

When Vinicius Junior signed his new Real Madrid contract last October, it felt like a monumental step for the player and the club. By then, the Brazilian had already established himself as one of the best players in the world and had already proven his worth with some top-level and consistent performances for the Spanish side.

Yet, some rumours are pointing towards Real Madrid wanting to cash in on the 23-year-old star to facilitate a move for French superstar Kylian Mbappe. In such a scenario, many clubs will stay alert to the possibility of signing the Brazilian, including Manchester United, who can pay big for his signature.

The Red Devils will seek a top-class signing in the summer if an opportunity comes by, with Vinicius perfectly fitting into that category. Manchester United will have no shortage of competitors should the Brazilian become available, although they have the ‘big club’ pull to entice the 23-year-old Real Madrid talisman.

Their chances exponentially improve if they qualify for the Champions League, although things could also depend on Real Madrid’s excessively high asking price. They will want huge compensation not only for the quality of the player but for his replacement, Mbappe, who remains heavily linked with a move.

Could Real Madrid genuinely sell Vinicius Junior?

With Vinicius considered one of the best players in the world, it must be a mad choice to sell him. Yet, Real Madrid has proven they can make such decisions to improve their status and the squad.

While Vinicius will want to stay at the club, Real Madrid’s active pursuit of Mbappe could change those ideas. The Frenchman’s persistent links to the club could become a reality in the summer when he finally leaves PSG. Whether he will depart as a free agent remains a source of active debate, but either way, Real Madrid will need a massive financial commitment to sign the World Cup winner.

Moreover, Mbappe plays on the left-hand side of the attack, a position currently occupied by Vinicius at Real Madrid. Unless the Spanish giants move the Brazilian to a more central role, they may have to choose between Vinicius or Mbappe, which could open the door for the Brazilian to depart.
