A lot of clubs wanted to sign him in the summer. Atalanta came very close to his signatures but Hellas Verona managed to keep hold of their star. But, post that things haven’t gone according to plan. The 24-year-old hasn’t had the best of starts to the new season. He has been out injured in quite a few matches so far and has only featured in five matches.
Despite that, there is still a lot of interest in his services. And, the report suggests that the player could part ways with the club in the upcoming transfer window. Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus have also been linked with the Swedish international. Even West Ham United are interested in having Hien in their ranks.
The Hammers have had a decent start to the new season. But, they have identified a few areas that need reinforcement. As a result, they are looking to bring in a new defender in the winter and have their eyes set on the Hellas Verona centre-back.
Hien’s arrival will give David Moyes’defence a lot of depth. And, he has all the qualities to push for a place in the starting XI. Given that he is still 24, he could go on to be one of the mainstays of the Hammers’ team. But, there is a lot of interest in him from across Europe and West Ham won’t find it easy to land him at the club.
