Apparently, the son of Liverpool sporting director Jorg Schmadtke has been appointed as an executive at Borussia Monchengladbach. It is fair to assume that it could help Liverpool sign the 22-year-old midfielder this summer.

Kone has been a key player for Gladbach, and he has the potential to develop into a top-class midfielder. Liverpool could use an athletic midfielder like him who will add presence and power to their midfield. He could be an excellent long-term acquisition for the Reds.

Meanwhile, Alexis Mac Allister has been linked with the move to Anfield for weeks now. The 24-year-old has been a key player for Brighton, scoring 12 goals for them across all competitions. He helped them secure European qualification and is now looking to join a bigger club capable of winning trophies.

Mac Allister managed to win the World Cup with Argentina earlier this season, and Liverpool are now closing in on a deal to sign him. The midfielder’s cousin has now revealed that a transfer is close and the player will be heading will be joining a big club like Liverpool next season.

“Well, I cannot say where he’s going to play, but I think everyone knows he’s close to (joining) Liverpool,” Guaycochea told Stadium Astro. “It’s a big team, but wherever he goes, I hope he can play well.”

Liverpool needed to add some creativity and goals to their midfield, especially after the departure of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who will officially leave the Merseyside club as a free agent when the summer transfer window opens next month.
