Leicester City have reportedly submitted an attractive offer for Fiorentina forward Nicolas Gonzalez this month.

As reported by 90min, Leicester City have tabled a £30 million offer for Fiorentina attacker Nicolas Gonzalez. The Foxes are quite confident of reaching a deal in this transfer window.

Leicester have managed to turn their trajectory upwards but the danger is still looming large as they are just two points adrift of the relegation zone and anything can happen.

Things haven’t panned the way Brendan Rodgers had hoped and the former Liverpool manager is adamant to rectify his mistakes in this transfer window. Gonzalez could be a shrewd addition as the Argentine can foray into several positions.

The left winger has mostly been preferred from the right this season while he can also offer his credentials as a centre forward. Rodgers can mould him as per his requirement and the player also seems to be pretty keen to ply his trade in England.

He was selected in Argentina’s World Cup squad but an injury saw him missing out as his country went on to lift the trophy after a long wait. Gonzalez is regarded as a part of Argentina’s next line of generation and the exciting forward can inspire Leicester’s dreadful performances on the pitch.

The player hasn’t played much this season due to an injury but still netted two goals in seven Serie A matches. He had a brilliant maiden campaign in the Italian top flight having arrived from Stuttgart last season.

Fiorentina are tempted by Leicester’s offer but there have been interests from other clubs with both Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur also circling around the player. Newcastle are riding high relying heavily on their current crop of attackers but Eddie Howe wants some more reinforcements to bolster his ranks.

Antonio Conte has been in search of a reliable partner for Harry Kane and Gonzalez would be perfect for the part.

Leicester have a pretty extensive forward line but none of them are in form. Jamie Vardy is in the twilight of his career and Gonzalez can make the other players tick if he can find the rhythm.

If all remains the same Gonzalez could be Leicester’s first winter arrival this month. Fiorentina are willing to offload the player for some serious money and they should take up the offer tabled by the Foxes.
