Newcastle United ready to pay €20 million for Angelo Gabriel

Newcastle United could part ways with Eddie Howe following what has been a poor start to the season for the club. .

Newcastle United are considering a move for Santos’ talented winger Angelo Gabriel in the winter transfer window.

As per Caught Offside, Newcastle United are pretty impressed by Santos forward Angelo Gabriel and want to invest in the player as a part of their long-term plan.

The Magpies are on a roll since the start of the season and have been one of the most consistent sides in the Premier League. They have looked like a well-oiled machine as Eddie Howe’s side has been pretty unstoppable.

A late title charge could be possible and the Toon would want to prepare for that. Their wealthiest owner will inject more funds as a part of the rebuilding process and they have already been linked with a plethora of players.

Gabriel is too raw to be tested in the English top flight but the youngster has already been a hit in Brazil. Newcastle are ready to fulfil Santos’ demand but AC Milan are also one of the contenders for the youngster.

The Milan management had a positive chat with his entourage and the player also seems to be open to a move to Italy. But they are only willing to pay €15 million while Santos have been demanding at least €20-25 million.

The player will enter the last year of his contract next season. So this will be the best chance for the Brazilian club to cash in on him. The winger made his debut at the age of 15  and is the youngest player ever to play for the Brazilian club. He is also the youngest scorer in Copa Libertadores for his club.

Brazilians are known for their flair and the winger is also known for his electric footwork. Predominantly a right winger the player is also capable of playing anywhere across the front three. Newcastle are pretty well equipped in the attacking department but they also need adequate reinforcements to cover the maximum number of games.

The teenager can be slotted directly into the senior setup as he has already displayed his capability to be able to deliver on big stages when it matters the most.
