Tottenham need to pay €30 million to sign Ruslan Malinovskyi

SSC Napoli vs US Lecce: Preview and Prediction as the Serie A leaders look to strengthen their hold on the summit.

Tottenham Hotspur have been told they need to pay at least €30 million to acquire the service of Atalanta attacker Ruslan Malinovskyi.

According to Calciomercato, Tottenham will have to splash to the tune of €30 million if they want to bring Ruslan Malinovskyi to North London. Spurs have long been interested in the player and might make an attempt to prise him away from Serie A giants Atalanta in January.

The attacking midfielder has not been the preferred choice at Atalanta as mostly Ademola Lookman and Mario Pasalic have been used in that role. Malinovskyi’s current contract will end in the summer. But the Serie A giants won’t budge on their demand and will only entertain offers if they are guaranteed €30 million.

Tottenham’s current position in the Premier League table is in sheer danger as Manchester United are knocking on their door. And any further slipups would only dent their hope for a top-four finish this time.

Despite investing heavily in the summer, Antonio Conte is not really satisfied with the current progress and will demand a few more bodies in the January transfer window.

Spurs do not have any creative midfielders in their ranks as of now, and the Italian manager wants this situation to be addressed by pursuing Malinovskyi. The 29-year-old has struggled for minutes this season and will be happy if he secured a move away from Bergamo.

Atalanta will be forced to cash in on the player. But the Serie A giants might have to lower their €30 million asking price, as Tottenham are known to be a strict negotiator. Three losses in the last four Premier League matches have somewhat altered their plans, and a busy January might be in the offing.

Atalanta have not felt his absence pretty severely and have been pretty dominating in the Serie A this term. Having missed out on a Champions League spot last season, they are determined to make it work, and manager Gian Piero Gasperini has been tirelessly working behind the scenes.

Losing the marquee attacker might not have any effect on their imminent plans, and the Ukrainian international might love to reunite with Dejan Kulusevski at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Recent reports have also claimed that Tottenham have already established contact for the 29-year-old.
