Juventus are eyeing a deal for Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot prior to the January transfer window.

Diogo Dalot has been the subject of interest from Juventus as the Italian giants are reportedly chalking up a sensational move for the defender. Dalot has emerged as the preferred choice on the right side of the defence and his progress has attracted a lot of interest from a number of clubs.

Dalot has a contract till the next summer and Juventus want to prepone a move in the winter transfer window. But the Red Devils have had some encouragement in the Premier League run and would therefore reject any kind of advances.

They also have the option to extend the contract for a further season and could exercise the clause to protect the value of the player. Fresh terms haven’t been proposed as of now but the understanding is that the club is willing to sit with his entourage over the possibility of a brand-new deal.

The Bianconeri are searching for a potential long-term replacement and the United full-back could be the solution. Jose Mourinho was the one who brought the youngster to Old Trafford but the manager couldn’t fulfil his promise as he left Manchester pretty soon.

It was interim manager Ralf Rangnick who first tried the player on a consistent basis and the end product was pretty fascinating as the player was one of the shining lights last season. Erik ten Hag appears to be an admirer of the player and has used the player since his arrival. Dalot’s progress through the ranks has also generated interest from FC Barcelona.

The Spanish giants roped in Hector Bellerin this summer but Dalot is someone whom they view as a catalyst for their vision. Juventus’ current position is not the ideal situation a player would like to indulge in so they need to convince Dalot about their sporting project.
