Real Valladolid make loan enquiry for Real Madrid starlet Peter

Real Madrid have reportedly received an enquiry from Real Valladolid over a possible loan move for 19-year-old prospect Peter Federico Gonzalez.

According to AS, Real Valladolid have set their sights on a potential loan move for Real Madrid prodigy Peter Federico Gonzalez in the ongoing transfer window.

Peter is a product of the Real Madrid academy, having joined the club from Getafe’s youth setup in 2015. The 19-year-old has since progressed rapidly through the ranks at the Spanish capital club, becoming a mainstay in their Castilla outfit. He has made 57 appearances for Raul Gonzalez’s side, managing a return of five goals and eight assists.

Peter is a left-footed winger who thrives when deployed on the right flank. The teenage prospect made his senior debut for Real Madrid in December last year in a La Liga clash against Athletic Club and has since featured on two more occasions for Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

Peter is held in high regard within Real Madrid and has been attracting admirers from outside. Recently, Manchester City had been credited with an interest in the 19-year-old, although Los Blancos have no intentions of selling their special talent, who has a contract with the club until 2024.

However, a loan move could be on the cards for Peter this summer to help expedite his development. And Real Valladolid have presented themselves as a potential destination for the 19-year-old prodigy, having approached Real Madrid to ask about the possibility of a temporary switch this summer.

Valladolid are already in talks with Real Madrid over a loan move for Takefusa Kubo and are now hoping to add Peter to their roster as well. Gonzalo Plata and Jon Morcillo have returned to their parent clubs after the end of their loan spells, and Pablo Hervias has departed as a free agent, leaving Valladolid in search of reinforcements on the flanks.

Peter, to that end, has emerged as a target, although Real Madrid Castilla boss Raul wants to keep hold of the youngster this season. It could potentially force Valladolid owner and Merengues legend Ronaldo to step into negotiations to convince the reigning Spanish and European champions over a loan deal for Peter.

Kubo is believed to be open to joining Real Valladolid. Whether Peter is also ready to follow him to the newly-promoted La Liga club this summer remains to be seen.
