Manchester United are reportedly demanding a fee of £300,000 plus extras for Dylan Levitt amid interest from Dundee United and Cardiff City.
According to an exclusive report from The Sun, Manchester United have set a price tag of £300,000 plus extras on academy graduate Dylan Levitt, who is a summer transfer target for Dundee United and Cardiff City.
Levitt is a product of the Manchester United youth academy. The midfielder has enjoyed a steady rise through the ranks at the club, making over 60 appearances for the Red Devils’ Under-18 and Under-23 sides combined. The 21-year-old made his first-team debut in 2019 under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, featuring in a UEFA Europa League game, which remains his solitary senior appearance to date.
Levitt has had three loan spells away from Manchester United so far in his career. The midfielder spent the first half of the 2020/21 season with Charlton Athletic before joining Croatian side NK Istra for the second half of the campaign. The Welsh midfielder spent the entirety of the 2021/22 side in Scotland with Dundee United.
Levitt made a solid impression during his time at Tannadice, playing 29 matches in which he chipped in with six goals and an assist. His performances have promoted the Scottish outfit to consider signing the midfielder permanently this summer.
Apart from Dundee United, Cardiff City are also interested in signing Levitt, albeit on loan. A chance to return to Wales could appeal to the 21-year-old, with Manchester United not standing in the way of an exit. In fact, as per the report, the Premier League bigwigs are willing to sanction a permanent transfer for the midfielder this summer.
With Levitt’s contract at Old Trafford set to expire in 2023 and there being little chance of him breaking into the first-team setup as things stand, a permanent parting of ways could make sense for the player and the club. To that end, Manchester United are demanding a nominal fee of £300,000 plus extras to let go of the Welsh international this summer.
What now remains to be seen is whether Dundee United or Cardiff City are willing to pay up the required fee to land Levitt on permanent transfer.
