Fulham set sights on Musa Barrow

Fulham are interested in Musa Barrow, with Bologna reportedly open to a sale if offers over €20 million arrive.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Sport Witness), Fulham are chasing Bologna star Musa Barrow, valued at over €20 million by the Italian side. The newly-promoted Premier League side are keen to bring quality players ahead of their season back in the top-tier and may look to spend heavily.

Marco Silva is already under pressure upon his return to the Premier League. The big task for the Cottagers and their manager would be to survive the ordeal of a relegation battle, for which they need to sign quality reinforcements this summer.

Fulham are heavily involved in the market and could make several necessary signings. Some may cost them significant money, but the Cottagers are prepared to spend if needed and bring in players that may help their cause. They are already chasing Liverpool’s Neco Williams and are in the market for new attackers, midfielders, and defenders.

Shakhtar Donetsk’s Manor Salomon is closing in on a transfer to Fulham. The winger can operate in multiple positions in the front three, so the idea of bringing the Israeli international is enticing, especially after the club have lost Fabio Carvalho to Liverpool.

Another player in a similar profile on their radar is Musa Barrow, who had a decent season with Bologna in Serie A. His tally of six goals and seven assists in 34 league appearances has enticed many interested clubs, with Fulham exploring a move for the Gambian international.

Bologna signed barrow from Atalanta last summer, paying a fee close to €15 million for the 23-year-old winger. The Gambian is usually a wide attacker but has the ability to play through the middle if needed. His versatility has seemingly compelled Silva to consider a move, despite the player’s potentially high price tag.

Bologna are willing to do business if a €20 million+ offer arrives in the summer. While Fulham are not cash-strapped by any means, they will still want to be cautious with their spending. So, it remains to be seen if a move for Barrow might be on the cards.
