Premier League outfit Leeds United are among the clubs interested in Brazilian talent Renyer this summer.

According to a report from Record, Leeds United have expressed their interest in Renyer. The Premier League outfit are among the clubs in contention to sign the Santos youngster, who is tipped to earn a move to a bigger club this summer. A move to Europe remains a possibility, with Benfica also keen on his services.

A right-winger by trade, Renyer used to ply his trade with Santos’ reserve team. But he was promoted to the senior side at the start of the year owing to his explosive performances in the youth competitions. The player has represented his country in the youth levels as well, notably making four appearances for the Brazilian Under-16 side.

Renyer is yet to make his professional breakthrough for Santos. But at the age of just 18, he has shown impeccable talent. His pace and dynamism on the flanks and his ability to drift past opposition defences have raised many eyebrows, even across Europe.

Leeds United are among the clubs mesmerised by the talent of the 18-year-old. They are keen on acquiring the services of the teenage sensation in the coming summer despite the player’s apparent lack of experience at the highest level of football.

Despite flirting with relegation this past season, Leeds have done a tremendous job with their youth development. They have roped in countless top talents across Europe over the past couple of years, with the list including the likes of Sam Greenwood, Joe Gelhardt, Dani van den Heuvel, and Leo Hjelde, among many others.

It appears the Whites are now exploring the South American market, with Renyer emerging as one of the top targets. The club are aware of the player’s potential and want to snap him up ahead of the new season. The youngster is likely to be drafted into the reserve squad where he will have to compete with the likes of Amari Miller and Crysencio Summerville.

However, the report suggests SL Benfica are the favourite to sign Renyer, although, given the player’s lack of experience, it won’t be surprising to see him remain at Santos for another year before taking the next step in his career.
