Tottenham Hotspur and Ivan Perisic have reportedly struck an agreement over a contract, with the veteran set to complete a Bosman move.
According to Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur could be closing in on yet another Bosman signing this summer after agreeing terms over a contract with Inter Milan and Croatia star Ivan Perisic.
Tottenham are already on the cusp of completing the free transfer signing of Fraser Forster, whose contract with Southampton expires soon. And, it seems like the Lilywhites might be two in two imminently, with Ivan Perisic likely to follow suit.
Perisic has been on Inter Milan’s books since 2015 when he signed from VfL Wolfsburg, but he never really hit the heights expected of him in the first few years of his spell at San Siro. The 33-year-old then spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan at Bayern Munich where he won the UEFA Champions League and the Bundesliga.
Upon returning to Inter Milan, Perisic was made into a key part of the setup by then-manager Antonio Conte, as the Nerazzurri went on to win the Serie A title, with the Croatian ace deployed as a wing-back, essaying a key role.

While Conte departed Inter Milan last year, Perisic stayed put and continued to be a vital cog under Simone Inzaghi. The 33-year-old ended the 2021/22 season with ten goals and nine assists from 49 games as the Nerazzurri narrowly missed out on the title.
Perisic’s contract expires at the end of June, and Inter Milan have presented him with a two-year contract offer worth €5 million, plus bonuses. However, at the same time, the Croatian international is also entertaining offers from several clubs, including Tottenham as Conte is seeking a reunion with his former player this summer.
With the Italian tactician not won over by Sergio Reguilon, Tottenham are in the market for a left-sided wing-back this summer and have set their sights on Perisic while Brighton’s Marc Cucurella is also a target. But Perisic’s experience at the highest level and his free agency, along with the fact that he knows what it is to be a part of Conte’s team, make him a favourable signing.
And, it is now being claimed that Tottenham are close to completing the signing of Perisic, with a contract agreement in place between the two parties. The 33-year-old will reportedly earn over €6 million at the north London outfit once the deal is finalised. The duration of the contract has not been specified, but Fabrizio Romano has claimed that he could be penning a two-year deal.
Chelsea were touted to be favourites to sign Perisic at one point, but it seems like Tottenham have beaten their London rivals to the punch as they look to get their transfer business wrapped up quickly this summer. Perisic is expected to complete his medical in London next week before making the move official.
