Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City are reportedly among the clubs interested in securing the services of Arsenal prospect Ryan Alebiosu.
According to Football Insider, several Championship sides are flocking to sign Ryan Alebiosu. The Arsenal prodigy has become a sought-after player in the transfer market as he is regarded highly for his skill and potential, with Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City among the clubs interested in his services.
A right-back by trade, Alebiosu has been a part of the Arsenal youth setup since 2010. During his time in north London, the youngster has made a name for himself with his pace, athleticism and attacking output that had made him a vital asset for the club’s reserve squad during the first half of the campaign.
Buoyed by his performances in the Elite Development Squad, Crewe Alexandra were quick to snap up the youngster from Arsenal in the January transfer window. He joined the club on a loan deal in search of some valuable game-time in first-team football.
The 20-year-old prospect started the campaign on a positive note. He featured in four back to back matches, but his progress was halted by an unfortunate back injury. Alebiosu was even sent back to Arsenal in order to speed his recovery process, with the youngster eventually returning to Crewe Alexandra in April.
Alebiosu has featured in a total of six league matches for the League One outfit. But he is now poised to join a Championship club in the summer, with Bristol City and Blackburn Rovers looking to snap him up at the end of the season.
Alebiosu has trained with the Arsenal first-team on a regular basis, but he is yet to make his senior bow with the team. His prospects of doing so in the upcoming season are unlikely to increase, with the Gunners poised to bring in a new face at right-back, having targeted Nahuel Molina among many others this summer.
