Liverpool could accept a reasonable offer and look to invest the money in a younger replacement. They are linked with youngster Calvin Ramsay of Aberdeen, who is also of interest to several other clubs from the Premier League.

The Reds are also keen on Hoffenheim’s David Raum, although such a move could only be possible if Tsimikas leaves. The Greek star has given no reason to Klopp to find a replacement and will very likely remain the deputy to Robertson next season unless the player himself wishes to move.

The 25-year-old has a contract with Liverpool that runs until the summer of 2025. In the scenario that the Reds do consider a sale, Roma would have to come up with a significant offer to swoop him away from Anfield.
