Arsenal are reportedly interested in a deal for Richarlison, as Mikel Arteta eyes new forwards in the summer, with the Brazilian forward eyeing a departure.

According to Givemesport, Arsenal could be interested in a move for Richarlison in the summer, as Mikel Arteta eyes a new set of forwards for the upcoming season. His experience and versatility may be why the Gunners are keen on the services of the £45 million-rated Brazilian international.

Richarlison has been a productive signing for Everton, brought when Marco Silva crossed over from Watford to Merseyside. With his energetic displays, the Brazilian international has been a consistent presence in the forward line, often proving to be a threat to opposition defence.

Able to play as a centre-forward or on the left flank, Richarlison has forged a solid partnership with Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Goodison Park. The duo has combined with good effect over the last two terms. However, the current season has been difficult for both players, as Everton have struggled to perform.

Richarlison has managed just five goals across all competitions, and despite the visible dip in form, the Brazilian continues to attract interest from top clubs. Last summer, he looked certain to leave Everton for PSG, but a move never materialised, as he started life under then-manager Rafael Benitez.

The next window could be crucial for the Brazilian to take the next step in his career, as Richarlison may be angling for a move away to a bigger club. His experience in the Premier League could make him an asset, as clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester United reportedly remain keen on signing him.

Manchester United have held talks if reports are to be believed, and now Arsenal have joined in the chase for Richarlison. The Gunners are searching for new forwards in the next window, as Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are set for exits. Moreover, Mikel Arteta’s primary objective is to replace the goals scored by former star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who left the club for Barcelona in January.

Arsenal have been linked with many names from across the continent, including Richarilison’s Everton teammate Calvert-Lewin. It’s highly unlikely the Gunners may spend big on both those players, although the chances of signing one of them remain possible.

While Calvert-Lewin offers a more specific profile, Richarlison’s versatility could turn Arteta’s head. The problem could be the reported £45 million price tag hanging over the Brazilian international, who has a contract until 2024. The Gunners would certainly look to reduce the asking price, although Everton may want to recoup what they paid for him initially.

Alternatively, Arteta might look elsewhere as the report insists Richarlison’s questionable attitude could pose a problem. If Everton decide to transfer-list him, there could be significant interest in the £45 million-rated Brazilian international. Whether Arsenal decide to move in for him remains to be seen.
