The Hard Tackle brings to you the suggestions for potential Fantasy Premier League picks as the eighth gameweek of the Premier League commences

THT Squad Sixth Gameweek Points: 41 Points

Good tally, considering three of our gambles did not pay off, with Jack Wilshere and Eric Bailly not playing at all while Lacazette failed to get on the scoresheet. Let us take a look at some of the suggestion we have for you to spend your precious transfers on after the international break.

Laurent Depoitre (HUD) – FWD – £5.2

With Steve Mounie and Collin Quaner out with injuries, Depoitre is almost a guaranteed starter up front for the newly promoted side. The away side are expected to rack in the goals against Swansea and if they do manage that, Depoitre is likely to have a direct contribution in them.

Michy Batshuayi (CHE) – FWD – £8.1

The Chelsea frontman has been in a good vein of form and continued the same during the international break, scoring for Belgium in his first senior international start. With Alvaro Morata expected to miss some crucial encounters, Conte is likely to depend on the Belgian to deliver. And chances are, he will.

Ben Davies (TOT) – DEF – £5.9

The Welshman was on a tear against Huddersfield and could do the same against Bournemouth. Pochettino seems to have made the wide defender a prime focal point of attack from the wing-back position and he has been delivering ever since. Even if Spurs do not score, their defensive tenacity is likely to pocket the users some points.

Riyad Mahrez (LEI) – MID – £8.5

While Jamie Vardy seems to have returned to his best, Riyad Mahrez is yet to shine. The Algerian, though, has shown signs of coming back to his old form and with West Brom set to pay a visit, we could see Mahrez put on his magic boots. Get him in not just for the West Brom game but for a few gameweeks at least.

Jonas Lossl (HUD) – GK – £4.6

A budget option which can net you good points, Huddersfield have been on a tear in the Premier League. And Lossl has been at the centre of it, with his safe hands guarding the goal. Expect the side to continue and Lossl can be your backup goalkeeping option at the very least.

The Pick

Gabriel Jesus (MCI) – FWD – £10.6

Yes, it may cost you a bit. But, with Sergio Aguero out injured, Gabriel Jesus will be the man to lead the City attack for a while. The Brazilian was on form during the international break and is my pick for not just the present gameweek but for the long haul as one of the three frontline men for the FPL squad(s).

We would advise the users to avoid Liverpool players for now and Manchester United as well for their FPL squads. But, you could gamble with Romelu Lukaku or/and Eric Bailly depending how you see the fixture playing out.

We have gone with Gabriel Jesus as our captain for the coming gameweek. But, in case you do not have the Brazilian in your squad, feel free to make Alexandre Lacazette or Riyad Mahrez, or a potential gamble in Jack Wilshere as your captain for the gameweek.
