Manchester United failed to score a goal against Burnley despite their complete domination, with striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in particular guilty of missing some gilt-edged opportunities.
The 35-year-old is considered to be one of the most predatory finishers in football, but he managed to scuff some excellent opportunities to put his team in front. Ibrahimovic had a whopping 12 shots on goal. While some of them were denied by the excellent Burnley keeper Tom Heaton, a few of them were disasters of Zlatan’s own making.
After the game, fans on Twitter started comparing him to everyone from Fernando Torres to Nicklas Bendtner. Many Man United fans also opined that youngster Marcus Rashford should be given the opportunity to start up front instead of Zlatan.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has missed approximately 347 chances today.

That ball from Pogba, that Zlatan should have finished, was an absolute beauty.

Never thought I’d say this, but #Zlatan is severely lacking confidence. Might be time to allow Rashford through the middle. #FullTimeFrancis

Out with the old: Rashford MUST replace Zlatan in Man Utd No.9 role https://t.co/Vm0dXxgwlZ pic.twitter.com/SjkXPAWM11

Obvious now to bench Zlatan & move Rashford up top with Martial in at LW. Can’t finish our dinner, so put our most clinical forward up top.

Zlatan could do with some time on the bench. Rashford’s not a winger and you can’t expect him to excel there. Play him through the middle.

It’s time to drop Zlatan & start Rashford up front, man literally bottled A LOT of big chances.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic & Wayne Rooney are a bigger scam than Iraq’s WMD. #MUNBUR

Congratulations Burnley. Zlatan is beginning to look like a fraud ?, although I think he isn’t. #MUNBUR

Man United ‘s attacking force is so dead that Mata’s creativity becomes useless, when is ZLATAN going to wake up? #MUNBUR
