Sergio Aguero sent off against Chelsea for a despicable challenge on David Luiz [Best Tweets]

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND - DECEMBER 03: Players square off after David Luiz of Chelsea is fouled by Sergio Aguero of Manchester City during the Premier League match between Manchester City and Chelsea at Etihad Stadium on December 3, 2016 in Manchester, England. (Photo by Clive Brunskill/Getty Images)

Sergio Aguero was sent off along with teammate Fernandinho in Manchester City’s disappointing 1-3 loss to Chelsea

The Argentine once again showed how he can lose his temper when he has had a frustrating game, with an unforgivable challenge on David Luiz. Aguero, who was chasing down the ball after a poor touch, leaped in with his studs high in the air and Luiz was lucky the Manchester City striker did not make the contact he intended to or there is no saying how severe an injury the Brazilian defender could have suffered.

The fracas that followed resulted in Aguero’s teammate Fernandinho also being dismissed after repeatedly grabbing Fabregas – who to his credit did not react – and pushing the Spaniard to the floor.

Football fans everywhere took to Twitter to vent their disgust at Aguero :

Aguero’s overall performance was quite poor as well, and Chelsea fans felt this proved that their striker is a much better player :
